Maria Saraceno

Director, CEN New York

Maria received her B.A. in cursu honorum from Fordham University with a concentration in art history and French. She has dedicated her career to helping businesses succeed through strategic business development and marketing efforts. In 2015, while working for Neuro Alert, a prominent Intraoperative Neuromonitoring company, Maria was tasked with the licensing of the Center for Electroneurodiagnostics through New York state. Today, she is instrumental in maintaining compliance with state regulations put forth by the Bureau of Proprietary School Services in New York and the Office of Career and Technical Schools in Indiana, where CEN holds a second license.

Maria often is the first contact prospective students have with CEN, and she prides herself on making the enrollment process an easy one. She is thrilled to be a part of CEN and is proud to be able to offer students the ability to pursue careers in such a rewarding industry.

Christopher Pace, Ph.D., CNIM

Director, CEN New York

Dr. Pace serves as the Director of the Center for Electroneurodiagnostics, New York, and as Chief Clinical Officer at Neuro Alert Monitoring Services. In addition, Chris is currently on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Neurophysiologic Monitoring, one of the major groups in the United States responsible for advancing the field of IONM. Following his graduate and postdoctoral work on nerve cellular anatomy and physiology, Chris leapt into the field of IONM, where he has contributed ever since. He has supported monitoring companies, both large and small, building many aspects of their IONM services, including policies and procedures, quality assurance, competency evaluation, and education and training. He has also played a pivotal role in obtaining for these groups the mark of quality: official accreditation from The Joint Commission. With his career-spanning passion for neuroscience as an academic foundation, Chris considers himself lucky to integrate this scientific interest with clinical applications in service to patients. Chris is an enthusiastic educator/lecturer who emphasizes quality and knowledge in the delivery of neuromonitoring, and he hopes that he inspires you to explore the field of IONM.

Rose Auerbach, CNIM

Principal Designated School Official & Education Manager

Rose Auerbach Tash, CNIM, received her B.S. in neuroscience from Brandeis University. She continued her post-graduate studies in biomedical sciences at the Wadsworth Center at University at Albany, State University of New York. Her extensive knowledge of IONM comes from having monitored close to 1,000 cases of orthopedic and neurological surgeries from the routine to the most complex. Rose’s gift for teaching, coupled with her keen understanding of surgical neurophysiology, made her instrumental in developing the CEN education program. She looks forward to imparting her knowledge and preparing you to become leaders in this ever-growing healthcare field.

Victoria Miner, CNIM

Assistant Education Manager

Victoria graduated from Siena College in 2014 and immediately started a position teaching high school science. After learning about IONM through a friend, she decided to pursue training through CEN and graduated with flying colors. Victoria loves the field of IONM because she continues to be challenged by it while also getting to be an integral part of the surgical team. She is impacted daily by the difference her works makes in protecting patients who are undergoing delicate spine and brain surgeries and enjoys making her patients feel more at ease by letting them know she will be in the room acting as their voice while they are under anesthesia.

Victoria is a proud kitten mama to Turbo and Maverick. She looks forward to getting to know each new student with great enthusiasm and is dedicated to their success.

Erica Seagrave, CNIM

Director, CEN Indiana

Erica completed her neurodiagnostic training from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1996. Since then, she has fully launched a career in electroneurodiagnostics, performing EEG, EP, NCS and Intraoperative Monitoring. In addition to her clinical experience, she was the owner and CEO of a successful neuromonitoring company from 2003 to 2018. During that time, she was involved in training, educating and board prepping students and colleagues in the U.S. as well as internationally. She has been a long-time member of ASNM, ASET and ISETT. She also has served as an IONM section director and a guest speaker. She was President of ISETT from 2015 to 2017 and is currently the Vice President of ISETT, serving a two-year term from 2020 to 2022.

Erica is eager to share her passion and vast knowledge and experience with those entering the field of electroneurodiagnostics. She takes pride in helping students navigate the industry and secure satisfying positions upon graduation.

Christopher Martin, CNIM

Christopher Martin, CNIM, has been an OR Coordinator, Director of Clinical Development and Director of Neurophysiology over the past 25 years in both academic and private settings. He has presented at national (ASNM, ASET, AORN) and international (ISIN- Switzerland, SANS- Saudi Arabia) conferences and has published articles and chapters related to IONM. He thoroughly enjoys being a key educator on the delivery and use of Intraoperative Neuromonitoring and how it integrates with the surgical team.

Chris also is an avid mountain climber and has many stories to share about his adventures around the globe.

Craig Crookston, PT, CNIM

Craig Crookston graduated cum laude from Creighton University in 2001 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. After taking a course in clinical electrophysiology, he knew that he wanted to pursue it professionally. After continuing to take classes in the specialty, when the right opportunity presented itself in 2008, he began training in surgical neurophysiology at Primary Children’s Hospital in Utah. He eventually moved up through the ranks taking a position with Neuro Alert as the Regional Manager for the Kaleida Health Care System. In 2019, he became the Director of Clinical Program Development. Craig is married and has a tween girl and teenage boy to keep him on his toes. He is a firm believer that you can change the world one simple act at a time. This led him to cofound the Ouallo Kouya Foundation (OKFoundation.us) with a coworker from the Ivory Coast. Its mission is to bring education, healthcare and clean water to the villages of the Ivory Coast.

Nestor Nicolaides, DC, CNIM

Dr. Nicolaides earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, GA, and received his Certification in Spinal Intraoperative Neuromonitoring from New York Chiropractic College. In 2013, he was certified in IONM by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET). He has lectured extensively and has been published on the subject of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and Intraoperative Neuromonitoring.

Dr. Nicolaides has over 20 years of experience in the field of electroneurodiagnostics and over 10 years of hands-on experience in the operating room helping to keep patients safe. His wealth of industry knowledge has helped him play a key role in advancing the field of IONM as a frequent lecturer at chiropractic events. He thoroughly enjoys imparting his vast knowledge to the next generation of IONM clinicians.
