This collaboration between the Centre for Electroneurodiagnostics (CEN) and Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust heralds the launch of our much-anticipated IONM course, currently open for applications and prospectus requests.
The Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Course
Embark on a transformative learning journey designed to enhance the skills of NHS professionals. Delivered over six to nine months by the esteemed Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, this IONM course comprises seven weeks of didactic teaching, two weeks of simulation training and hands-on experience, coupled with continued work-based assessments to acquire competency in spinal deformity monitoring. The curriculum, enriched by global expertise, imparts critical knowledge of neurophysiological monitoring during corrective spinal surgery, ensuring safer surgical outcomes.
